no trading yesterday simply too busy doing other things but today i got stuck into it and had just about my best day ever with this software...it was really flying.

i also done some will hill free bets and had a nice win on the slots so a very happy day all round !.

no trading again for today the telly went on the blink and i spent a few hours waiting for the engineer to come so another day wasted.

it gave me some time to think some more about my trading , i was approaching the £200 bank mark but only using £5-£10 liability stakes on all my trades so having that amount of money sitting there in betfair really made no sense so i have decided to withdraw my profits and leave just £50. as my trading bank and now i will withdraw any profits i make at the end of the day.

no update and no trades for today have been very busy doing other things, but i will get stuck into the racing tomorrow.

after having a day off yesterday i decided to get stuck into some trading and last night i stayed up to the small hours trading three 02 tennis matches and ended up with a small loss, it really was not worth the time and effort i put in so will not be staying up tonight for it...no way !.

i had one successful greyhound trade and some very good luck on the horse racing, as can be seen above i made a nice amount on one race , what happened was i thought i had covered all the horses before the start but realised towards the end of the race i had missed a horse and the software had flagged this horse as a possible winner so i put in a lay bet hoping to put a back in a few ticks higher for 0 on this horse, as my back bet went in something happen and the odds went out to the 30s which i was matched at then the horse bolted to the front at which point i put another lay in at low odds to spread my profit and the horse went on and won the race !.

so i had a bit of luck there which boosted my profits for the day.

this evening i had a small football trade which went wrong and took a small loss on it.

so overall i good day with a bit of luck thrown in, my bank has been boosted nicely and i have decided that when my bank reaches the £200. mark i will revert to £10 liability stakes again on the horse racing as any loss will not have much of an impact on my bank.

the greyhounds let me down today with a loss, its a shame because it was my first greyhound trade since last week ...oh well the damage was not too bad and i spent the afternoon on a loss recovery mission with the horse racing and i actually ended with a small profit which was great.

i hope to write some interesting blog pieces soon instead of just giving my p/l every day, makes things more interesting... trouble is finding the time to do it !.

it late and bedtime so just a quick update, the software advised today that there were many poor races and so i traded just a few but all were profitable and i made a small profit for the day.

anyway it all goes into the pot and will build up slowly over time.

despite some of today's horse racing being called off because of the weather on the two remaining races i still managed to pull in a fantastic profit and i had a couple of trades on the football and all i had to show for my efforts was a tiny green profit still at least it was not red !.

in the past week i have more than doubled my starting bank..... how many traders can say that ! i know it was a small bank to start off with but it sounds good (smile).

today the software i use for the horse races was on fire with just one losing bet the rest win after win and though i was using just £5.00. liability stakes it all mounted up for a very nice profit considering the small size of my bank.

the one drawback was a loss on the football but still i was very pleased with the horse racing.

the software was spot on today telling me what horse to back/lay and what races to bet on or leave alone, it really does take the hard work out of trading the gee gees !! .

surprise surprise betfair goes down yet again this afternoon , after the recent 10 hour shutdown during Tuesday night i was half expecting something like this to happen it always does when betfair does some "upgrades" i wonder how many people lost money this time around ?...betfair really are useless and i can see why many people have gone over to betdaq, for me though even though i too have a betdaq account at the moment i am using software that only works on betfair so i have to stay with them but in the morning i will be contacting the owners of the software inquiring if they intend a betdaq version in the near future.... i damn well hope so !!.

even though this afternoon was a washout i did manage to trade some later races at Wolverhampton and made a small profit to end the day with....not much but it all helps.

its late so i will be quick with my daily update, traded the greyhounds and horses and made a nice profit and as you can see above i had a go at the us horse racing, i was using a bit of ratings software which gave me a good idea of which horse to lay i may do this a couple of times every evening to add to my profits of the day.

tomorrow i may reduce my betting stakes to the £5-6. level as with reflection my betting stakes at the moment may be a bit too high.

today was a hard slog on the horses and i was lucky to end it with a tiny profit and not a loss, tonight i traded the football and had more success with these markets.

the small profit for the day reflects the small stakes i have been using to trade with along with my small bank and the need to protect my bank.

i also had a go at the darts markets with a small stake and made a 50p profit which was great considering it was almost my first real trade with the darts...... it had a feel like the tennis markets with the swings and laying low and backing a few ticks higher gave me a small profit.

not sure if i will regularly trade the darts as i really don`t know much about the sport !.

only my second day and i have already made £21.20. profit from my £53.00. start bank excellent !

only traded a couple of hours but made about £12.80. profit on both the horses and one dog race, i am pleased with it and has boosted my bank nicely.

well....i have not been on my blog since last year, the reason being is that i have been ill and its given me time to think about my betfair trading and also given me a much needed break from trading.

i was going all out for the football trading but things have not gone well with it and i have left the football service i was with ( more about that later !! ) i have decided on an about turn on my trading and i have gone back to the greyhounds again and will be trading horses with some football and a little bit of tennis thrown in for good measure.

i have got hold of a nifty bit of trading software that's not well known but seems to perform well on the gee gees and i expect to spend the rest of this year on these markets.

i am also starting small with a tiny bank and will try and grow it into a much larger bank this year.

my start bank is £53.00. and a few pence ( all whats left in my account ) and i will try and post daily .... so notwithstanding family problems, illness's here i go again !

i have just started trading on the horses so will post (hopefully) a profit this evening.

sorry about the lack of posts i have been away on a nice sunny holiday to Cornwall... tell a lie it was a rotten holiday it rained almost nonstop and i had to stay in a bloody caravan instead of a nice warm comfy hotel , by the end of the holiday the family did admit we ought to have stayed in a hotel like i wanted too .......

anyway....... back to what this blog is about , got into the swing of things today with a nice little tennis trade as you see above also been taking advantage of the will hill free spin offers and made a tidy sum !.

in the dull period we had of the internationals before i went away on my hols i decided to try and expand my knowledge of trading and so spent many hours scouring the nooks and crannies of the web looking for anything and everything on betfair trading , so after sweeping away the dross ( which there was a huge amount ) i turned up a number of different trading systems/techniques many of which i have never heard of before or even knew existed.

on the football front i have found a ltd trade with a twist in it which i had never thought of before and some over/under trades that look rather promising and some very interesting techniques that you can use when a goal has been scored , i have to admit i have never seen any of these before ....oh and i have come across a very different way of trading the cs market which has its own built in safety net which does give you an edge, i admit i have already tried this and blow me down it does work !, i have also came across a number of tennis trading techniques which again i have not seen before and one which really does give you a very nice edge in the market .

so.... i have now got my work cut out trying all the above out.

on the horse racing front i was hoping to be going into live trading this week but just before my holiday i had two losing trades in two days, now a losing trade now and again is only natural but two like that was a bit disconcerting and so i have been doing some tweaks and today had a 100% success rate of 8 winning trades.... now that's how it should be for in running !.

i will be also getting stuck into my 2-2 trading h/t scores again , looking back on my trades i am very much into profit with this and i will see if i can find a way to improve my strike rate.

right now its decision time do i trade a couple of south American games tonight which gun in the tradingfootball room is gonna trade in about an hours time ......or do i go to bed, hmmmmm

a dull period

since my last post its been a pretty dull time with the football , the pmt trades have been almost zero and my budding 2-2 second half trades has almost come to a stop with the internationals which i don`t fancy trying it with, and the second - rate games we have been having in which anything can happen and the poor liquidity ..... its just been an awful few days.

i have tried the late night south American games though but been frustrated by a few last minute first half goals which has put paid to the prospective trade.

tonight i tried to make a few pounds on the Spain/Scotland game by backing a very high under 2.5 goals with the aim of coming out in ten minutes with a couple of pounds or so profit, but a 6th minute goal by Spain put paid to that and fearing a goal avalanche i redded up ...with hindsight i ought to have stayed in and would have got out for a scratch trade before the second goal came.

after this i just lost interest for the rest of the night.

still its given me a chance to crack on with my in running on the horses testing, now i know what i am doing will work but have not done it for some months and just want to make sure everything is fine before using real money.

so....roll on the end of the week and the weekend when the real football returns and things can get back to normal !!.

in running on the horses almost here again

i have to apologise for the presentation of my last post all white bits and looking horrible i don`t know how it came about but i cannot change it and don`t fancy writing the post again so there it stays !

in any case at the moment no one is reading this blog so it don`t really matter ..haha.

today was the first time i had a pre in-running warm up on the gee gees for some months because i only like to do it on the jumps as its much easier and though its not my normal in running techniques i use which are very safe i did use some of the skills i have picked up over the years and though there is some risk involved i was pleased with the outcome as can be seen on the screenshot.

i will be doing a much more involved write-up about in-running trading on the horses which i think is one of the easier ways to trade on betfair ...providing you do it the right way and with the right tools...but more on that for later.

today's footie card was very,very bad which is the reason i had a go on the horses cos i did want the day to go to waste.

anyway tomorrow is much better and i am looking forward to the weekend and will see if i can have some success with the pmt tool .

second half football trading

one of the things i like with trading on betfair is that you are always looking for new ways to trade that may give you the little edge that you need , one way that i hit upon is to start my trading in the second half of a football match, now this is nothing new as lots of people do it but for me its new.

what i have been doing is waiting for a game to be 0-0 at half time look at the form stats and if both side are scoring plenty of goals then have a small £2 back bet on the 2-2 score.

i have found that by half time you can get some pretty big odds for the 2-2 and i have been having them in a range of between 60-95 though just last night i waited until the 50th minute of an Italian game and got odds of 110 on the 2-2 , why people are happy to accept my back bet at these odds is beyond me ? but i am not complaining !.

now the tactic is just to sit back and wait for the goals to go in , the earlier in the second half the better as odds plummet that much further rather than late on in the game.

an ideal score is the 2-1 or 1-2 if the underdog scores first that also brings the 2-2 odds in nicely, though a 1-1 score does also give me a profit with anything from £4-10 leaving a nice lump on the 2-2 still.

of course 0-0 and the favorite scoring 1,2 or More goals without reply is a lost trade, but when the trade goes Right like at the weekend its party time !.

made my £2 bet at half time and managed to get back odds of 90 and then after 1st goal i eliminated my red leaving a big green on the 2-2 , it then was soon 1-1 until the underdog scores to make it 1-2 at which point i greened up for a £44 profit which is not bad at all from a small £2 bet.

just my luck a few minutes later the score was 2-2 and could gave greened up for a bigger profit but i also could have lost out if the score went to 1-3 ..... always green up if you have the chance, i have learnt that the hard way over the years !!.

so...is this an easy way of making money on betfair....well no its not the two trades i have had since the weekend both lost and £4 went to money heaven i have had 3 of the above trades so far since i have been doing this and a larger number of smaller wins of anything from £4-10, i can have runs of 2-5 losing bets at a time but i soon make it back with a win.

clearly this type of trading is more of the medium to long term variety...but hey its something differant for me and i am sure there are ways to improve it which i will look into.

a new start

OK..... after a break of some months i will be restarting this blog, in the past i had done the blog daily but i am changing my sports trading and have no need to post daily and so will post when i feel like it but will most likely be several times a week.

i am having a break from the greyhounds and have left Chris William's tipping service .... nothing is wrong with it i was still making money but i just felt a bit stale doing the dogs and needed a change.

i will be returning to the greyhounds later.

now its the turn of the football markets for me and i will dive into them as often as i can !, i have rejoined the trading football service and as one of their very first members it did feel a bit like coming home after a years break due to my family problems and though a bit rusty i am getting back into the swing of things.

i have also joined their pmt service ( pre match trading ) i have found it hard to get started with it but now seemed to have clicked because in the last few days have already made this months subs back so i will be giving this another month to see how it goes.

apart from the football there will be some tennis and towards the end of this month i will be going back to in-running trading on the horses which is really easy money.

i have also joined a little horse tipping service which seems to be very good and i will be reporting on this as well.

i will be putting my first post up tomorrow and talking about a new strategy i have started in the last few weeks which is giving me some amazing results and a 2000% return from a football match just tonight alone !! .

not many racing selections today and what there was were pretty second rate and so i picked one from a poor bunch, the dogs came up trumps again and so a very quite day.
